Summary: This hotel is clearly an older facility. The entrance doors are not automatic, which can make it difficult to get luggage through the door. The building has 2 floors, and the elevator is out of order. If you have difficulty with stairs, you would need to ask for a first-floor room. The hotel once offered breakfast (you can see the space and equipment) but it does no longer. Desk personnel are not present when you enter, and you must ring for help. This means the front entrance is not at all secure. The back door no longer closes and locks, so this door is also not secure. The hotel is pet-friendly and welcomes both dogs and cats. The bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably clean, but the carpets were old and frayed. There was considerable mold in the bathtub enclosure, and the laundry facilities had broken down so there was a delay in getting clean towels (they had been sent out to be laundered). Although the hotel was quiet, the police had been called to the hotel the morning I checked out. My concerns caused me (belatedly) to read customer reviews. I wish I had read them before I booked. The hotel was recommended for "solo travelers." I think this must be code for "less discriminating customers."
