You'll be one mile from Madaket Harbor Cruise and within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, the Morris Graves Museum of Art, the Carson Mansion, and the Eureka Waterfront Trail, and only two miles from the Sequoia Park Zoo and its Redwood Sky Walk. Arcata, Trinidad, and Redwood National and State Parks are within an easy day trip as well.
The carriage house has a long history of its own, built in 1895 by Eureka's gas and electric superintendent Thomas Petch. In the years since, it's retained much of its original warmth and character, with a living space bathed in light and elegant, comfortable furnishings throughout.
Begin each morning by flipping pancakes in the eat-in kitchen as the sunlight comes streaming in through the windows. At the end of each fun-filled day, you can curl up on the sofa, bask in the warmth of the gas fireplace, and stream your favorite movies on the smart TV.
